S78 MVD Restriction (Request)

Purposes:

This screen allows MIMS users to put in place a MVD service restriction and notify the debtor that the restriction has been established.

Prerequisites:

1. MIMS user must have applicable security authorization to view files.

The following groups have access to this panel:

· Call Center Agent

· Collection Agents (RGPU, File Intervention, Compliance 4)

· Compliance Support Agent (only confirmation)

· Compliance 5 Agent

· MEP Senior Management

· ISO Agent

· SIU Agent

· MIMS

· Supervisor/Team Lead

· L46 – Full MVD Service Restriction (Generated only after confirmation.)

Helpful Hints:

· Non-Provisional files only. Only Active MEP files are allowed (error if status of selected file is ‘I’ – Incomplete or ‘C’ – Closed.

· MVD ID or Operator ID must exist in order to successfully place a MVD restriction.

· There cannot already be an MVD restriction in place.

· The file must have non-zero enforceable arrears and must at least be at compliance level

Procedure:

1. Enter the desired MEP file number into the field labeled ‘File Number’.

2. Click the ‘Get’ button to retrieve the file.

3. Select whether or not you want a Work Request initiated. (If ‘Yes’ is selected then Collection Support Agent must perform the requested work. If ‘No’ is selected, the collection agent has already updated MOVES, and the changes made will automatically occur.)

4. Enter your comments into the field box labeled ‘Remarks’.

5. Click the ‘Save’ button to save the data entered.

6. The system returns to screen S85 – Collection Tool History, with the updated MVDR tool occurrence displayed.

7. The system automatically generates correspondence to the Debtor (L46 – Full MVD Service Restriction) after Confirmation.

MVD ID	Displays the MVD ID number.
Operator ID	Displays the operator ID number.
W/R Required	Select ‘Yes’ if you wish initiate work request. Select ‘No’ if you do not wish to initiate work request, in addition remarks are required.
Remarks	Enter you comments regarding the request of the MVD restriction.
	Click this button to submit the MVD request.

Possible Error Messages/System Warnings:

ID	Error Message Description	Action
96	Enforceable arrears are required for this collection tool.	The file must have non-zero enforceable arrears.
269	W/R Required is mandatory.	Ensure that you have selected either ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.
417	MVD ID or Operator ID must exist in order to successfully place a MVD restriction, excluding values of ‘None’.	The debtor must have an Operator ID or MVD Id on file before this request can be done.
419	File must be at least compliance level 3.	The file must be at least at a compliance level 3 to proceed.
